Johan Derksen and René van der Gijp still refuse to take the undesirable behavior course. Van der Gijp said on Tuesday evening in Today Inside that he was willing to do it, but did not last very long. Because the course is mandatory by Talpa, Wilfred Genee fears that he will soon have to create a program on his own.
Tuesday evening’s broadcast was largely devoted to the big news about Alex Kroes, but in the opening minutes the undesirable behavior course was also briefly discussed. Job Knoester recently dropped the subject in a broadcast of Today Inside. Both Derksen and Van der Gijp made it clear in the subsequent broadcasts that they had no intention of sitting down for it. Derksen even dismissed it as ‘nonsense’ and, after having walked ‘unscathed’ in the media landscape for 75 years, did not consider it necessary to have to take such a test.

However, the test is mandatory and if Van der Gijp and Derksen have not taken it before April 12, the television personalities are in danger of being suspended for two months. Van der Gijp sat down for it on Tuesday morning, but quickly closed his laptop again. “You know guys, let’s be completely honest. I’ll keep it very short. I looked at that test very briefly this morning (Tuesday, ed.), but it is insane. It’s about nothing at all. Those videos in it are real… You should let a four-year-old child fill that out. I let my son do it for me. I’m not going to sit and watch that nonsense for half an hour. That’s complete nonsense.”
Gene heard it. “Do you think it’s too childish? Well okay. Two men who will soon be inactive, I will soon be here alone”, the presenter sounded serious, although the audience mainly responded with laughter. Talpa already responded to Derksen’s statements about the course last week. “It is important to us that everyone within our network goes through this training, and we are actively working to promote this. We do this, among other things, by actively helping to remind, monitor and engage in conversation”a spokeswoman said Algemeen Dagblad.
