Last-minute major change in Feyenoord’s line-up against Go Ahead Eagles

A setback for Feyenoord prior to the match against Go Ahead Eagles. Shortly before kick-off he was injured, which means he has been given a starting place.

Giménez was part of the line-up communicated by Feyenoord, but cannot play. Analyst Gertjan Verbeek from ESPN responds: “You cannot say that Giménez has been in good shape in recent months. He worked hard in the cup final and provided an assist, but it remains unfortunate. Ueda is a different type of striker. It’s good for him that he can start again.”

Compared to the cup final against NEC (1-0), Slot also does not have match winner Igor Paixão. He will be replaced in Deventer by the Croatian Luka Ivanusec. Goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther, on the other hand, is available, but returns to the reserve bench because first goalkeeper Justin Bijlow has fully recovered from his injury and is regaining his place under the crossbar. Lutsharel Geertruida therefore starts as right back, causing Bart Nieuwkoop to move back to the bench.
