PSV will win the national title next week or one of the weeks after that, that much is clear. It is already PSV’s 21st since 1975. In the past fifty competitions, PSV became champions 42 percent of the time. Ajax won twenty titles in that period and also finished first in the 2019-2020 corona season, without becoming champions. Feyenoord has won the title five times since 1975, AZ took two and FC Twente one.
From 1974 onwards, PSV was a national top club, because the KNVB Cup was won on that day and PSV has always competed in the upper regions of the Premier League ever since.

In 1975, the club became champions for the first time since 1963 and the PSV selection recorded a song in which Willy Van der Kuijlen, Ralf Edström, Adrie van Kraaij and the Van de Kerkhof brothers play a nice role. Images of the song were posted on YouTube years ago by user Steiner72Steiner. The text is not completely in sync with the image, but nevertheless the song still makes many PSV supporters happy.
The video shown below also shows that the tour through the city already took place on a flat cart. Trainer Kees Rijvers, almost 49 years old at the time, is shouldered by the group of players. He died earlier this year at the age of 97.
