FC Volendam can barely avoid relegation, RKC gives away victory | Football

FC Volendam fought at Het Kasteel for one of the last chances to avert direct relegation, but did not succeed in that mission. After a slow first half, the game got underway immediately after halftime.

Sparta had a great chance through Koki Saito fifteen seconds after the kick-off of the second half, but the Japanese shot narrowly wide. A minute later, Bram van Driel killed a great chance on the other side of the field. Moments later, George Cox escaped a direct red card after a rash foul.
