Malik Tillman will also play for PSV next season. The national champion permanently acquired the rented American playmaker from Bayern Munich on Friday. He signs until mid-2028.
PSV had a purchase option on 21-year-old Tillman, who is making an excellent impression in Eindhoven. In 38 official matches, the ten-time international scored nine goals and fifteen assists. PSV appears to pay around 12 million euros.
“I am very happy that he is staying,” says PSV coach Peter Bosz. “He is only 21 years old, but has already taken so many steps in his development this year. That is great to see and I am curious to see how he will continue to develop.”
Tillman has become an important force at PSV. On Sunday, the German-born American kicked off the won championship match against Sparta Rotterdam (4-2). He had no part in that match with a goal or an assist.
In the summer of 2015, Tillman ended up in the youth academy of Bayern Munich, which already loaned him to Rangers FC for the 2022/2023 season. A breakthrough at Bayern failed to materialize.
Tillman and PSV close the Eredivisie season with matches against Fortuna Sittard (away) and RKC Waalwijk (home).
