As of May 1, Freedom Internet will reduce the prices of existing and new customers on KPN’s fiber optic network. The exact prices differ per subscription, but for most products it amounts to a few euros per month.

The biggest price drops are visible for subscriptions with a speed of 200 Mbit up and down, the company reports in a blog post. Customers who choose this subscription will now pay ten euros per month cheaper, or nine euros if it concerns the 1 Gbit up and down subscription. The price also includes the rental of the modem. New customers can temporarily receive an extra discount of 5 euros per month for the first 24 months.

The price reduction only applies to users on the KPN fiber optic network, where KPN also does the lighting. These are not all Freedom Internet customers, because the provider provides internet over networks of different providers and works with different image providers. In this way, Freedom Internet wants to provide internet via fiber optic everywhere in the Netherlands, even if a specific network provider is not active everywhere in the Netherlands. However, the costs of renting the network differ, which means that the subscription prices at Freedom Internet may also differ per place of residence.

Speed up/down Current price per month Price per month from May 1

200Mbit/200Mbit 67 57
