The A73 is closed in both directions at the Venray-Noord exit after an accident.
The accident happened on Monday afternoon around 6 p.m. on the southbound carriageway to Venlo. According to the ANWB, seven cars were involved. One or more of them rammed into the center guardrail. The devastation is great. Debris is scattered across the highway.

Around 9 p.m. on Monday evening, the A73 in a southerly direction to Venlo was reopened. The road towards Nijmegen is still closed.
At least two people involved were reportedly injured, one of whom was taken away by ambulance. Many emergency services are present.
Traffic from the direction of Nijmegen is diverted via the Venray-Noord exit. A diversion has also been made for traffic in the other direction, to Nijmegen.
