GOOISE MEREN – The Extra version of the GooiseMerenNieuws is available to everyone for free today. Our subscribers are already familiar with this thicker newspaper that arrives on their doorstep every week, but non-subscribers receive the thinner and stripped-down version of the GooiseMerenNieuws every week.
“Subscribers are very important for our newspaper, which brings local news from Bussum, Naarden, Muiden and Muiderberg to the attention of residents, so that we can continue to write (in-depth) stories,” says (editor) Jacqueline Roest. “They are really needed to continue doing our work. This allows us, for example, to closely monitor politics and write critical articles about it. You will also find court reports with us. Our strength is and remains the local news!”

Readers who are not subscribers therefore receive (much) less information about Gooise Meren than residents who are subscribers, she says. “Another added value: we try to print as many Extra articles as possible in their entirety in the Extra newspaper. A favorite in our Extra newspaper is the puzzle page, just like the page of the Historical Circle that tells about the history of Gooise Meren.”
