Tonight it’s already time for the third episode of Bompa Bockie. In it, Bockie has a candid conversation with Cecilia, who talks about how she views death. She does this in a completely different way than Bockie, which gives him new insights about death, but also about life.

The past two episodes already made that clear Bompa Bockie is not a happy program. Roger already talked about saying goodbye to his wife and many of his friends and this week Bockie has a similar conversation with Cecilia. She looks at death optimistically.

Cecilia

In the teaser for tonight’s episode, we see Bockie talking to Cecilia about her husband, who is in bad shape. “I would accept it if my husband died. I am ready. It will be a loss, there is no other way. But then he will be rid of his misery.” She tells more about her husband. “We can sit together at the table and one of the two of us says something and then we can relive the beautiful things we have experienced. Everything that was good and beautiful and pleasant then comes to the surface again.”

Bockie then says that he is a bit jealous of the way Cecilia looks at death because he himself is afraid of dying and losing the people around him. Cecilia says that she gets a lot of strength from her faith. “We get a dress rehearsal here of the life that can await us up there,” it sounds. Bockie also wonders what Cecilia thinks about the fact that many young people no longer believe. “I think that’s a shame because I know what I’m getting out of it.”

The conversation clearly makes an impression on Bockie. “Well, Cecilia, I don’t know how things will turn out for you. We all die, but you have now given me a conversation that I will remember forever.”
