Painting With Light, the Genk company that realizes visual concepts for hall and screen productions, was internationally praised at the Musical Awards. No fewer than 3 awards can be partly attributed to the craftsmanship of Luc Peumans and his team.
Painting With Light (PWL) is best known as a designer of lighting effects for professional productions. At the Musical Awards, just organized in the Netherlands, the most controversial shows were awarded, with sufficient attention also being paid to the best technical performances.
The award for the best decor and stage image went to Luc Peumans of PWL and Robert Nieuwenhuizen for the musical De Tocht. It was this production that also won the top prize as Best Musical, allowing the Genk creators of lighting decor and video design to take to the stage again.
Finally, Peumans and his team celebrated with Studio 100, which received the award for Best Family Musical for De 3 Biggetjes. PWL was also responsible for the lighting design there. “We are proud that we were on stage three times,” says the Genk entrepreneur. “A nice recognition that encourages us to continue on our chosen path.”
