Wilfred Genee will be with Johan Derksen on Tuesday evening Today Inside Embarrassed. The former footballer talked about himself and Willem van Hanegem, after which Genee joked that they are two footballers of a similar level.
“People are sensitive to that,” Derksen begins when asked about his opinion on team building. “I’m not like that and neither is Van Hanegem.” Genee can’t resist making a joke about this. “To name two footballers in the same category,” he says before bursting out laughing together with René van der Gijp.

“Cruijff neither,” Van der Gijp adds, laughing. “Derksen, Van Hanegem and Cruijff were not sensitive to that.” Derksen himself does not appreciate the joke and tries to talk stoically through the laughter: “You conclude that and then you continue with it while laughing. I don’t pretend that I can play football, but characterologically I am closer to Willem.”
