Everyone wins at a sunny school handball tournament – Advertising Leidschendam and Voorburg | HartKrantje-online

Leidschendam-Voorburg – Sports and Welfare Leidschendam-Voorburg and handball association EHC jointly organized the school handball tournament for primary schools on Wednesday afternoon, April 24. After several years of absence, EHC wants to give the school handball tournament a structural character again.

The tournament was a great success last Wednesday. More than 210 students from 11 different primary schools in Leidschendam, Voorburg and Stompwijk competed for honors in 28 teams.

A week earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, April 17, the children were able to practice throwing and catching and the rules of handball at the EHC sports complex under the supervision of trainers. This afternoon was also busy.

Full of enthusiasm and encouraged by each other, parents, grandfathers, grandmothers and teachers, handball was played fanatically (photo: SenW).

At the tournament itself, more than 210 children were ready to show the best of their game. There were a total of six fields on which the children from groups 5 to 8 played the matches. Enthusiastically encouraged by each other, parents, grandparents and teachers.

After the last exciting match, where even shoot-outs could not provide a solution, the awards ceremony took place. The Essesteijn school won the sportsmanship cup, but of course all children went home with a nice gold medal.
