Father Christopher Gregor from New Jersey, USA is on trial for the murder of his own son Corey Micciolo. The 6-year-old boy was abused for a long time and died in 2021. After two forensic investigations, the shocking conclusion emerged that Corey was murdered.

Shocking images

During the trial, horrific footage was released showing Gregor forcing his son to run on a treadmill several times. The father allegedly thought his child was too fat. The video shows Corey repeatedly falling off the treadmill because his legs collapsed. Father Christopher Gregor continues to increase the incline and speed on the apparatus despite falling.

Stroke

The boy’s mother, Breanna Micciolo, had not been with Gregor for years and took care of him alone for the first four years of Corey’s life. Father Gregor later came into the picture again. In court, Micciolo told how he had been reported to child protection services several times for abuse. However, mother Breanna was not taken seriously.

In the year of her death, Breanna asked her ex to take their son to a doctor. At the doctor’s office, Corey admitted that his father made him run on the treadmill because his father thought he was too heavy. One day after this visit, the 6-year-old boy suffered from remarkable complaints. At the hospital, a scan showed that Corey had suffered a stroke.

After his death, a pathologist examined the boy’s body and made some remarkable findings. It turned out that Corey had bruises near his heart and liver. Yet, despite these findings, the pathologist ruled that the cause of death was unknown.

Forensic pathologist

When another pathologist examined Corey’s body again, he determined a completely different cause of death: murder due to prolonged abuse. The injuries were many times worse than previously described. A laceration to the heart, lung contusion, laceration and contusion to his liver. But also blood poisoning and acute inflammation.

Father Christopher was arrested in 2022 on suspicion of murdering his son. However, Gregor maintains that the stroke was the cause of death and that he is innocent. For this reason, he turned down the plea deal of 30 years in prison, but currently faces a life sentence.
