Costa!! the series
Where the film was about Anna (Abbey Hoes) and her best friend Bibi (Stephanie van Eer) who go in search of the Costa where Anna’s mother, Frida (Katja Schuurman), used to work, the series is about owner Thomas (Roeland Fernhout) who can no longer handle the hustle and bustle of the Costa. He suffers from high blood pressure and has increasingly frequent panic attacks. So it’s high time to pass the baton to someone else. But to whom? We’ll have to find out in the series. Yay!
Katja returns as Frida
Although it was still a big question whether Katja Schuurman would return to the role of Frida, the word is finally out: she will also return to the series. But what can we actually expect? In conversation with RTL Boulevard gives the actress a glimpse of the veil.
“Of course I still play Frida. But Frida has changed a lot,” she reveals. “In the first film, twenty years ago, Frida was a dancer in Costa, propper. Well, twenty years later she was the mother of a propper. Now she lives there. And she has actually found more of the spiritual path. And together with Annick Boer we have a retreat place, where we help people relax from all the hustle and bustle. And we do that in a very ethereal way. It’s quite funny and I really found a friend in it (Annick Boer, ed.). We had a lot of fun playing that.” Ooh, sounds good!
