About the episode

Kees explains how you can become rich and we will briefly discuss the geopolitical game with you. Are we now at war or do we actually have a global leadership crisis?

Then the listener question of the week, from Arnold, is there a conscious policy to phase out cash? It soon becomes clear that you are almost a criminal if you use cash and that hurts entrepreneurs and citizens! And transfer money, if you spend more than 1000 euros you are already a suspect! Is that because of the government or the banks?

Kees is declared ‘Central Bank Watcher of the Fatherland’ and Paul is angry about the rising house prices.

Finally, why do we in the Netherlands always have to be the best boy in the EU class? The virtues of Brussels do not have to be so strictly adhered to, and that is not Europe’s fault but the Dutch government.

Robert is on holiday, and that is why Paul Buitink is here today, from Holland Gold.

About the podcast

In ‘From All Markets at Home’, former colleagues macro economist Kees de Kort and founder and director of investment company Antea Robert De Boeck share their insights into all economic matters.

With a finely tuned bullshit meter, the Waldorf & Statler of the Dutch economy sifts through financial trends and economic policy. And anything else they want to express their annoyance about.

It’s not going to be fun, but it’s worth it.

Kees de Kort

For years, macroeconomist Kees de Kort was a permanent fixture at BNR. Until his retirement, tens of thousands of podcast listeners enjoyed his daily column on BNR. He studied

Economics at the Catholic University of Tilburg. He worked at Staalbankiers, Financial Services Research Agency Amsterdam and Barclays, among others.

The ‘Stock Exchange Guru’ of the year 2008 is now back at BNR. He and his ‘Dekortian’ statements are ready to provide the economy with his opinion with a healthy dose of realism. Even if it’s not about the economy, by the way.

Robert De Boeck

As a permanent panel member of ‘Unsolicited Advice’ in ‘Doing Business’, this Rotterdam native is no stranger to BNR. The founder and director of investment company Antea started at Erasmus University where he completed his Economics studies with honors. Like Kees, he worked at Staal Bankiers and before that at Nationale Nederlanden.

With a light Rotterdam accent and clear language, he does not mince his words when it comes to financial trends or economic policy. Or Sparta. He also writes a column for Quote.
