Johan Derksen and Hélène Hendriks, among others, believe that they should go to the European Championships in Germany next month. The midfielder is once again having an excellent season in the shirt of Atalanta, but according to many, he is a doubtful case in the Dutch team. Bee Today Inside they don’t understand that.
Derksen did not expect that Koopmeiners would immediately be of value in Italy after leaving AZ. “I once thought he was a player who avoided duels a bit, with a velvet technique and a beautiful kick. I thought: if he comes under pressure there (in Serie A, ed), I want to see if he can handle it,” says the television personality of Today Inside. “He manages effortlessly, he does very well!”

Hendriks fully supports Derksen’s opinion. “He is in the shape of his life, so that will be fun during the European Championships,” she says. “But will he come along?” asks Wilfred Genee. “That has to be right? Mats Wieffer is injured and Frenkie de Jong is still a doubt. Of course he has to come along,” Hendriks continues.
