How can you make Skyrim even more realistic? This streamer has the answer with a very expensive gadget. For us it is not necessary.
In no game can you lose yourself as much as in… Skyrim. Wander for hours through snow-covered forests, sneak through dark caves and ride across open plains on your horse. The game is so extensive that sometimes it almost feels like you are really there. But alas, it remains a video game.
With the arrival of Skyrim: VR the game has become even more real. Streamer GingasVR didn’t leave it at that. She bought a lot of gadgets and transformed her game room into a portal to really enter the world of Skyrim. Fantastic, but we don’t necessarily need one of those gadgets.
This streamer experiences Skyrim like never before
It has become a mega project. Streamer GingasVR has expanded further Skyrim immersed than anyone ever before. She had to open her wallet for that, $15,000 to be precise. She not only has a VR headset, but also all kinds of other gadgets to simulate the conditions of the game.
For example, she has connected fans to the game who were initially from where they were in Skyrim is, blowing warm or cold air. All those mountain peaks suddenly become a lot less attractive. She also tackled the NPCs. With the help of AI, she can really talk to the characters in the game. But the icing on the cake is the gadget that we personally would not wear: a Haptic Suit.
Suffering a lot of pain in Skyrim
GingasVR purchased and connected not one, but two Haptic Suits Skyrim. These are a type of vest that can simulate pain in the game using electric shocks. Her first Haptic Suit simulates this pain. Her second, a so-called Haptic Vest, simulates vibration and resistance that you experience in the game. For example, think of the vibrations you feel when you walk through a babbling stream.
Vibrations, AI, real cold wind, a lot of mods, characters that really talk back and pain. A lot of pain. It is the most lifelike form of it Skyrim that you can experience. That sounds really cool. However, GingasVR immediately shows that it is more beautiful than it sounds. She now prefers to avoid any fight. When the enemy does manage to land a blow, the poor streamer collapses from the electric shocks. Leave the fighting with dragons alone if you ask us.
It’s truly amazing to see what gamers are all about Skyrim to pimp up. That is allowed every now and then, after all, the game is from 2011. It is also a signal from fans to the makers of SkyrimBethesda: Give us a new game.
The sequel to Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls 6, is still years in development. The game was announced years ago, but there has been no real progress yet. In early March, a top Bethesda official said the game was still in early development. That means we’ll probably have to wait quite a while for the sequel Skyrim.
In the meantime, we can have fun with mods, gadgets and haptic suits. Although, never mind that last one.
