On the nights of Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 May, the Algera Bridge (N210) will be closed to car and freight traffic. The road will then receive a new layer of asphalt. Traffic should take into account 45 to 60 minutes of extra travel time.

The road surface on the Algera Bridge has been in very poor condition for some time. The top layer of the asphalt must be replaced for this. Rijkswaterstaat was actually supposed to carry out the work in October, but this was postponed at the last minute due to bad weather conditions.

Blockage

The new work is scheduled for the nights of Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 May. On those nights, the bridge will be closed to traffic in both directions between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The cycle and pedestrian path remains open. The reversing lane will also remain open for emergency services and public transport. During the day the road is open, but there is a speed limit of 30 km/h.

Diversion route

Traffic will be diverted during the overnight closures. Road users must then take into account 45 to 60 minutes of extra travel time.

Traffic from Capelle aan den IJssel is diverted via the N219, A20, N207 and N210.
Traffic from Krimpen aan den IJssel is diverted via the N210, N207, A20 and N219.
