Netflix price increase 2024: this is what you need to know
Current Netflix subscribers will soon be paying more to watch everything the streaming platform has to offer. If you are a new member, you will immediately pay the increased prices. If you already have a subscription, you will soon receive a message with more information, which will also mention the date from which you will pay more.
The price increases have been announced for Dutch and Belgian users of the service and range from one to three euros extra per month. Do you live in the Netherlands and do you have a Basic subscription? Then you previously paid 7.99 euros per month, this will become 8.99 euros per month.
Subscribers to a Standard subscription previously paid 11.99 euros per month, but that will be two euros more: 13.99 euros. Do you have a Premium subscription? Then you will pay three euros more per month: 18.99 euros. Additional subscriptions or other forms have not been announced by the service.
Adding someone outside the household to watch remains the same price at 3.99 euros per month. Belgian users can opt for the same subscriptions, but the prices were slightly different: 8.99 euros, 13.49 euros and 17.99 euros. The new prices for the Basic, Standard and Premium subscription have immediately been increased to: 9.99, 14.99 and 19.99 euros respectively.
Dutch prices Netflix 2024:
- Basic: from 7.99 euros to 8.99 euros per month
- Standard: from 11.99 euros to 13.99 euros per month
- Premium: from 15.99 euros to 18.99 euros per month
Belgian prices Netflix 2024:
- Basic: from 8.99 euros to 9.99 euros per month
- Standard: from 13.49 euros to 14.99 euros per month
- Premium: from 17.99 euros to 19.99 euros per month
Netflix is not alone
Netflix isn’t the only streaming service that has announced price increases. SkyShowtime recently presented new subscription types and an associated price increase. Viaplay previously came up with this and HBO Max is also in that list.
