Joost Klein was the last to shine last night in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest. While Europe seemed to love him – he was through to the grand final – Johan Derksen was in favor Today Inside have something completely different to say about that.

We highlight the striking moments of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in this article.

Johan Derksen about Joost Klein: ‘Repulsive’

Albert Verlinde has joined the studio Today Inside and he notes that Joost Klein “has put on a fantastic act,” when Wilfred Genee asks him for an initial reaction. Johan Derksen listens to it with a slightly sour facial expression. “I don’t know how he comes across in the living room, but he really acted as if he was singing in a huge stadium, really fantastic,” says Verlinde.

According to Verlinde, Joost Klein “has really shown what he has to offer”. But then Genee focuses his question on Derksen. What did he actually think of the performance during the Eurovision Song Contest? “Revolting,” is his short answer, after which René van der Gijp bursts out laughing. Genee: “Will it continue, do you think?” “No, he can go home tomorrow,” Derksen is resolute.

That was the wrong idea on Derksen’s part, because Joost Klein will be in the grand final of the music festival tomorrow evening. Van der Gijp: “It was a crazy act, right?” “Yes, a very idiotic act,” Genee responds, “but special.” Van der Gijp certainly agrees with that: “That’s nice, man.”

Earlier in the broadcast, Derksen also had nothing good to say about Joost Klein. He compared Europapa with a party at high school where everyone had to do an act.
