Alisha and Noud are looking for their dream house in ‘Buying without Looking’. They want to exchange their rented apartment for a single-family home, where they can hopefully one day start a family. But when real estate agent Alex van Keulen (55) manages to get a house outside Eindhoven, Alisha secretly appears to have a lot of difficulty leaving her beloved city.
“Alisha really wants to live in Eindhoven and I want to live in Tilburg”
Alisha was born and raised in Eindhoven and has lived in the city all her life. Her boyfriend Noud is originally from Tilburg and moved to Eindhoven for love. Now that they are looking for a new home together, Alisha would prefer to stay in Eindhoven, but Tilburg could also be an option for the couple. “Alisha really wants to live in Eindhoven and I want to live in Tilburg,” Noud explains in front of the cameras Buy without Looking.
The couple has a budget of 425,000 euros and they want a minimum living area of 120 square meters and three bedrooms. Alex initially looks for a house in Eindhoven, but soon finds out that they will not find Alisha and Noud’s dream house here. “Unexpectedly, Alisha and Noud’s search turned out to be quite difficult.”
Until Alex comes across a nice place in Tilburg. He manages to buy the house for four thousand euros. Then the time has come for Alisha and Noud to view the house for the first time. “It’s Tilburg, darling,” Noud calls enthusiastically. But for Alisha it is a crazy idea that she will have to leave Eindhoven. “Falls raw on your roof.”
Fortunately, Alisha has a few months to get used to the idea, as it will still be a while before they actually move to Tilburg. Alisha still has mixed feelings about having to leave her beloved city, but when they officially leave Eindhoven, she feels positive about it. “It’s nice to have your own place now. (…) Let it happen.”
As soon as they walk into their new house, Alisha and Noud are speechless. “We are so happy,” says Alisha. And Noud is also more than satisfied. “This is really everything we wanted. (…) We can feel at home here.” Alisha completely agrees with that. “Definitely. Absolutely.” The couple is very happy with their new home. “We have a nice house and we are going to explore the center.”
