I think this is a nice development, but there is also a negative point. The Quest 3 optimized games
(Red Matter 2, Asgard’s Wrath 2 and Assassin’s Creed Nexus) are starting to move towards PCVR quality and without streaming it has a big plus.
If this game is developed purely for the Quest 3, it has the potential to go even further in that direction.

Although the Quest 2’s game library is very large, if this trend continues, it will no longer be supported for the past generation of standalone games. Sets another precedent for the Quest 4 or whatever the potential successor may be called.

Of course you can still play PCVR on the Quest 2, but you can pay so much extra for it if you don’t yet have a suitable PC for it, that the upgrade to the Quest 3 will be an economically smarter choice for the vast majority of people. .

It remains difficult of course where you draw the line with support for the past generation, but until now the great thing about the Quest line was that it was continued for so long.
Of course, this is just the first game, but it could start a new trend.

Batman is of course a franchise that many people are passionate about and can lend itself very well to VR, being Batman yourself!
In any case, as a Quest 3 owner, I’m looking forward to it.
