Alex and the invisible raincoat
HARDERWIJKAs if he had never done anything else, Isaiah van Dijk, 11 years old, presented his adventure book on Saturday afternoon, March 30 Alex and the invisible raincoat in front of the facade of Boekhandel Boeklief in the Hondegatstraat in Harderwijk. A book for which he spent a year making drawings, which his mother carefully copied digitally to produce this book.
The exciting comic strip is about Alex, who finds a raincoat in the laboratory where his father works that makes you invisible. And that is of course a super cool discovery.
The young author/illustrator already has plans for the next part of the Alex series and, he confided to me: “The raincoat will be updated in the next book.”
It’s great that bookstore Boeklief has opened its doors wide to this ambitious boy and gives him the opportunity to present his book to the general public.
And Isaiah van Dijk is certainly an author to keep an eye on!
