VELDHOVEN – What are the news and activities of the Veldhoven Library?
Youth Book Club
Meeting each other and reading pleasure are paramount at the Youth Book Club. The young people meet every 4 to 5 weeks. During these afternoons, young people talk about their favorite books, exchange book tips and discuss a book they have read together. The Youth Book Club was set up by Sammer Musa from Veldhoven.

Parkinson’s and breath
Presentation on the causes and consequences of Parkinson’s disease on breathing. The speaker is Lousanne Tangelder, geriatric physiotherapist specializing in Parkinson’s.

Judith Visser
Writer and animal lover Judith Visser is best known for the novels ‘Zondagskind’ and ‘Zondagsleven’, in which she writes candidly about (her) life with autism. Judith’s latest novel ‘The girl with half a star’ was published in October 2023, which is set during the Second World War and focuses on friendship between humans and animals. In the library she talks about her books and life, Bruna Veldhoven takes care of the book sales (including signing session).

For the little ones
This time the Boekjes & Babbels morning for 1.5 to 4 year olds focuses on toilet training: from the first time on the potty to the large toilet. The baby morning for 0 to 1.5 year olds is about the motor development of babies: from lying down to walking. Both meetings consist of reading and a fun activity and a youth nurse from the child health clinic is also present for tips, questions and advice.
