Alexander Reeuwijk will interview the writer about his most recently published book ‘The world turned upside down’. It is special that Benjamin Moser is coming, he is an American writer. He moved from the United States to Utrecht in 2002 for love and moved in with writer Arthur Japin and publisher Lex Jansen.

How was he supposed to discover his new country? He did this by immersing himself in the masterpieces of the seventeenth century. He has written a beautiful book about the Dutch Masters with many illustrations and examples of works of art. In the book he talks about, among other things, the painter Frans Hals, whose well-attended exhibition can now be seen in the Rijksmuseum. About Vermeer and Carel Fabritius who was born in Middenbeemster. He offers very appealing stories and anecdotes about the lives and work of these artists and fifteen of their contemporaries.
