During long journeys or when using Google Maps, I connect my telephone to the car’s hands-free system. If I receive a telephone, this is no problem at all. but never have meetings when I’m on the road. That costs you too much concentration and is therefore too distracting. The telephone conversations I have are short and sweet. It makes no difference to me whether I talk to a fellow passenger or over the telephone

Our work has had a rule since 2018 that using the phone in the car while driving is not allowed. So no hands-free and certainly no meetings with or without a video connection. This rule was introduced because it turned out that calling and being distracted from traffic played a major role in a number of accidents. And that was a very wise decision. And privately I prefer not to combine driving and calling, sometimes in quiet circumstances you can have a short conversation, but as soon as the traffic gets busy or the conversation requires so much attention, then it is a matter of parking or end the conversation. Participating in traffic requires attention.
