Thijs Boermans commits blunder on plane: ‘Blurred from pills’ | RTL Boulevard

“I took five sleeping pills,” Thijs begins his exciting airplane story. “No crazy sleeping pills, just the ones you can get at the drugstore. At some point we land and I’m looking for my phone.” The device was nowhere to be seen, even though Thijs had just used it. He wanted to be the first to leave the plane, so as not to have to wait in line at passport control for a long time. “So I search, but I’m blurry from those pills.”

The actor asked a flight attendant for help. After a long search while the plane was already empty, heavy artillery was finally used. “She starts taking that whole chair apart,” says Thijs about the helpful flight attendant. Despite her determination, the search is in vain. Find my iPhone via the phone of none other than the pilot did not help him one bit. “I’m chaotic, but how hard is it to find a phone? I had it an hour ago!”

After a desperate search, Thijs had a crystal clear flashback. As it turned out, he had accidentally left his phone on his tray under a napkin after dinner. And he gave that tray back to the flight attendant. “So I say: ‘Ma’am, we have to go through all those dishes, because my phone is in between them.’ I had to take out two of those carts with all those flight attendants, until at some point the phone ended up.” Ultimately, he was the last in line at passport control. “So stupid.”

This story cannot come as a complete surprise from someone who says he once called for half an hour about having lost his phone… with his own phone in his hand.

Thijs was in South Africa with Anna, but it seems that she did not witness this plane blunder.
