Emily Blunt “absolutely” wanted to throw up after kissing certain colleagues, she says in the The Howard Stern Show. The 41-year-old actress gives an insight into what it’s like to film romantic scenes.
Blunt says she found some of the kissing scenes “disgusting”. Presenter Howard Stern then asks whether the actress has ever had the urge to throw up on the film set. “Absolutely,” answers Blunt, who says he certainly doesn’t enjoy all the romantic scenes.
Blunt says she has a certain tactic to create chemistry with a fellow player she actually doesn’t like. “I always look for something that I like about the other person. That could be a nice smile or the way that person interacts with others. There has to be something that I like, even if it is something small.”
The actress does not want to mention names, so it is not clear which colleagues she is talking about. Blunt has previously played with Dwayne Johnson, Cilian Murphy, her own husband John Krasinksi and recently with Ryan Gosling. In any case, it is not about the latter: Blunt calls Gosling “a gem” and speaks of her happiness that she is friends with him.
