In DNA Singers three unknown singers give a performance to the two panels. However, these unknown singers are all related to a well-known Dutch artist. It is up to the panel to guess which famous musician this is. In tonight’s episode, team captain Jaap Reesema and Xander de Buisonje will compete against team captain Jeroen van Koningsbrugge and his special guest and musical star Nyassa Alberta.

The third performance of the evening is provided by not one, but two Dutch strangers. The brothers Sam and Robert take the stage together. Even without the gentlemen having sung a note, Jaap and Xander think they recognize ‘something Volendam’. However, Jeroen sees something completely different: “Those are the two nephews of Bolland & Bolland.” According to Jeroen, the two men also have the same styling as Bolland & Bolland. Jeroen then even looks for something outside the Dutch borders. He thinks that the gentlemen share the DNA with one of the band members of the German group Modern Talking. However, musical star Nyassa joins Jaap and Xander, because she also suspects that the gentlemen come from Volendam.

In a video message, the two brothers give a number of hints that we are related. It soon turns out that it is a man. The two men also say that they are quite musical themselves. They’re even in a band together called ‘Almost Famous‘. To help the two panels get started, the brothers bring their voices to bear through a smashing performance. Together they sing George Michael’s song ‘Freedom ’90’. Xander is visibly impressed by the two gentlemen. “It sounded really good. Really not normal.” According to Jaap it is ‘immediately clear’ that they have a lot of stage experience. What is also clear is the DNA of the men. According to the panel, the gentlemen are related to Nick Schilder. Even when one of the brothers started singing, he looked just like Nick according to Xander.

At the end of the evening, Sam and Robert perform together with their – still mysterious – relative. With the song ‘Glimpse of Us’ by Joji they deliver a breathtaking performance in three voices. The panel is impressed with the performance. They also know for sure: Sam and Robert are related to Nick Schilder. Only Jeroen and Nyassa are still betting on Simon Keizer.

It’s time for the mysterious family member to reveal himself and soon Nick Schilder appears. Jeroen regrets his choice and tries to straighten it out: “It is so difficult with those duos. I always get those mixed up. I meant him with the beard. But this is Simon, isn’t it?” Fortunately, Nick can laugh about it. After all, the Volendammer is very happy ‘to be on the road with his brothers today’. The performance might even taste like more. “Of course I’ve become self-employed now, so I’m thinking about hiring them,” jokes Nick.

DNA Singers can be seen on RTL 4 on Thursday at 8.30 pm. Watch the episode again at Videoland.
