The Paaspop organization has responded to statements by Peter Roozendaal and Piet van Esch, the founders of the festival in 1979. They said in the Omroep Brabant talk show KRAAK. that they had heard that the festival in Schijndel might be expanded with an extra day: “Easter Monday is still free.” The current organization of the popular festival says that this is ‘wishful thinking’. “There is no question of that at all.”

Roozendaal and Van Esch organized the festival twelve times, from 1979 to 1990. They still have their contacts with the current organization. They told presenter Arjo Kraak that the festival will remain in Schijndel in any case: “They are not going to move.” They also said they could not rule out the possibility that a fourth festival day would be added: “Easter Monday is still available.”

According to the current organization, the latter will certainly not happen: “Wishful thinking” or wishful thinking: hopeful thoughts or expectations that, according to the festival organization, are not based on facts or realistic possibilities.
