With spring approaching, spring fever comes. For many people, this is a moment to tidy up and clean the house. This also applies to the De Hoogte district in Groningen.

The windows and doors open, the bedding in the fresh air. In short, spring cleaning. During such a major cleaning you often get rid of unnecessary items, you declutter.

But where to go with all those big and small things?

In the spring of 1974, the residents of the De Hoogte neighborhood in the City set to work to clean up their neighborhood. A major ‘Cleaning Action’ in collaboration with the neighborhood committee and the municipal cleaning service.

The campaign lasts several days and aims to ensure that bulky waste is handed in and cleaned up. That’s why the other banner says ‘Away with the rubbish’. Residents can take their rubbish to the available trucks.

And if that doesn’t work, there are always helping hands. A good initiative and a nice start to spring.
