The Service Point of Movactor Social & Legal Services opens a new walk-in consultation hour in the evening. From Monday, April 8, residents can go to the Zuid neighborhood square with administrative and financial questions.
Christel Verdoorn, Service Point Coordinator: “We notice that our Service Point consultation hours are becoming increasingly busy and that there is a need for longer opening hours. By organizing these new consultation hours in the evening, we want to be more accessible to residents who are unable to attend during the day due to work, for example.”
Experienced volunteers
At the Service Point, residents are helped by experienced volunteers. For example, when completing a form or understanding certain letters or regulations. Christel: “We consciously work together with volunteers and give them the role of supporting and guiding residents. It is nice if you recognize yourself in the volunteer, in terms of age or culture. It lowers the threshold for asking for help.”
Welcome without an appointment
The Service Point is part of Movactor Social & Legal Services and is intended for residents of Nieuwegein. Residents are welcome without an appointment at the new evening consultation hours or during one of the other morning consultation hours.
