Turkish flash delivery company Getir is preparing to withdraw from several countries, including the Netherlands.

According to information from WirtschaftsWoche, the only country left is Turkey, the home market of the Istanbul-based company. This means that not only the Getir brand will disappear from the streets, but also Gorillas. Last summer, the flash delivery company withdrew from dozens of cities and four countries. What remained then was the home market of Turkey and a few warehouses in Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and the US.

Financing subject to conditions

According to information from the British broadcaster Sky, Getir is said to have received new funding in the double digits from its existing investors. Under one condition: Getir must use the money for the withdrawal and settlement of the three markets. In addition, delivery activities should be further expanded in the home market of Turkey. According to WirtschafsWoche, Getir did not want to comment on the above points.

Takeover Flink

In March this year, the news came out that Getir wanted to take over competitor Flink. According to insiders, this deal is off the table. This month it was reported that Flink was about to secure a new investment of more than 100 million euros.
