The Golferij in Eelde has been declared bankrupt, but visitors will not notice this. This is what curator René Luinstra said. The Golferij is a place where novice golfers can learn their skills, but experienced golfers can also play a ball and that will remain unchanged for the time being. According to Luinstra, five people work at the golf center.

Golferij Eelde has become the victim of companies that have gone bankrupt. These companies made money available to the golf center so that investments could be made, among other things, in the golf course itself, indoor golf and in buildings on the site. Because Golferij was unable to make repayments to those companies, they have now formally lost out themselves. “That happened because of problems from others,” says Luinstra.

Despite the bankruptcy, the golf center certainly has a bright future, the curator emphasizes. “For that reason, a restart is now being looked at, and those chances look good.” Anyone who wants to visit Golferij Eelde will hardly notice the bankruptcy. “Members can just continue to play ball.”
