Ten residents of the municipality of Weert were awarded a Royal decoration on King’s Day 2024. Mayor Raymond Vlecken presented the awards on Friday, April 26, at the homes of the decorated recipients. Mr Leo Schreuders became a Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau. The other persons became members of the Order of Orange Nassau.

This year’s decorated recipients are:

Mr AM (Ton) Aspers (Leuken)

The municipality of Weert offers a reception to all residents who received a Royal decoration in the period 2023 and 2024. This reception will take place on Saturday, April 27 between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM in the hall of the Town Hall at Wilhelminasingel 101 in Weert.

On Friday April 26, Mr. Peter Korten was promoted to Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau by the Dutch Embassy due to his many merits in the Belgian municipality of Kinrooi. Mr Korten will be present during the reception of the municipality of Weert.
