FrieslandCampina once again sees room to further increase the milk price. In May, the milk price rises by 0.50 euros to 47.25 euros per 100 kilograms of milk. It is the fourth month in a row that FrieslandCampina has increased the price for its members.
“The increase in the milk price is entirely attributable to a positive correction due to an underestimation of the reference prices in the previous period,” FrieslandCampina reports on its site. The dairy processor assumes that the reference companies will keep their farm milk prices stable for the coming period.
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price applies to 100 kilos of milk for a delivery of 925,000 kilos of milk on an annual basis with 3.58 percent protein, 4.45 percent fat and 4.54 percent lactose and is exclusive of VAT. In May, protein yields 721.74 euros per 100 kilos and fat 481.16 euros.
The average FrieslandCampina Guaranteed Price for 2024 including May is 46.25 euros per 100 kg of milk.
Organic milk price stable at 56.50 euros
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for organic farm milk is coming to a standstill this month. The price remains 56.50 euros per 100 kilograms. In the coming period, the dairy processor expects that the reference companies will also increase their organic farm milk prices.
The FrieslandCampina organic guaranteed price applies to 100 kilos of milk for a delivery of 550,000 kilos of milk on an annual basis with a protein content of 3.58 percent, a fat content of 4.45 percent and a lactose content of 4.54 percent and is exclusive of VAT. In May, protein yields 863.03 euros per 100 kilos and fat 575.36 euros.
The average FrieslandCampina Bio Guarantee Price for 2024 including May is 56.40 euros per 100 kg of milk.
