Van Haastrecht is no stranger to KSB, as he started his career 25 years ago at Duijvelaar Pompen, which is now part of KSB. Over the years, he has held various positions at various business units of Heras and the family business Gebr. Bodegraven. His appointment as director of KSB Nederland marks a new milestone in his career.

He explains about his new employer and position: ‘KSB is a versatile company that is active in a large number of markets. As a connector, I enjoy visiting customers and working with many different people and then continue to grow. The great thing about our world is that there are always new markets and developments. KSB products are used for pumping wastewater into dredged material and from cosmetic products into biomass. The latest addition to the large tree of applications is hydrogen. And KSB is fully ready for that too.’

The outgoing director, Nico Gitz, looks back on forty successful years at KSB Nederland. He will trade his passion for pumps and valves for sails and rigging, but looks back on his time at KSB with pride. ‘I started as a trainee at KSB after studying Mechanical Engineering and, after more than forty years, I leave the KSB family knowing that the company is in good hands.’

KSB Nederland, part of the global KSB group, is known for its high-quality pumps, valves and systems for various industries. With a team of more than seventy employees, the group is represented on all continents with its own sales organizations, production and service companies.
