Because whether you fancy a nice drink, a truly Mediterranean meal with matching wines or just want to taste the atmosphere and flavors of countries such as Italy, Spain or France; Welcome to the Table is where you need to be!
An authentic wine with matching, delicious delicacies. Thanks to their European voyage of discovery, Nicole and Nicolai know all about it (and are happy to let you taste it). And that just at the Table at Lange Smeestraat 1 in Utrecht!
Move over
In the middle of the store you will find a cozy, large table where there is always something to taste. Nicole and Nicolai will happily provide you with a delicious espresso from Italy, and then take you into the stories behind the many types of wine. Would you rather wander around the store yourself? That’s also completely fine. If you want to taste something, just shout! The two are also happy to help you find the best flavor combinations.
The drinks season has started!
The sun, a glass of wine, a tasty snack… what more could you want? Welcome to the Table is within walking distance of the park and the canals; You can stroll along here for a chilled glass of wine with something tasty – in addition to wine, they also sell delicious black lemon or blue-veined goat cheese – and then have a lovely picnic in nature. A wine cooler bag and dress have even been thought of! That sounds like the ultimate summer day.

New cellar, new wine
In the wine cellar of Welcome to the Tafel you will find a wide choice of delicious wines from well-known but also unknown grape varieties, be surprised and try something different than the standard Chardonnay, because with this new addition, the sparkling Madame Titi (who wants isn’t that a cool bottle!?)

When you take your wine to the park on a sunny day or drink it in your garden, you choose the summer hit of 2024, the Trollinger! This delicious wine is full of summer fruit and has a fine pepper with a tannin bite and can also be enjoyed chilled.
Products with a story
If you know where your food comes from, it always gets a different taste. This also applies when you hear the beautiful stories behind the delicious delicacies from the store; everything will be extra tasty! The new extra virgin olive oil from Puglia, for example: this olive oil comes from a small-scale olive orchard that grows together with almond trees. You can imagine that this is a nice, high-quality flavor combination. The olives are hand-picked, cold-pressed and placed directly in the bottle. In the store you can taste all the olive oils so that you know exactly which olive oil suits you best.
