The Cybertruck is not yet for sale in Europe, but the angular Tesla is coming to the Netherlands. The pick-up will go on tour and will also visit the Netherlands in June and July.

The Cyber Odyssey is the name of the tour that the Tesla Cybertruck makes through Europe. Every major European capital is visited and in the Netherlands there are even four stops.

The Cybertruck will be at Tesla in Eindhoven on June 25 and 26 and at Tesla in The Hague on June 28 and 29. The Cybertruck will then be in Amsterdam from 1 to 4 July and in Utrecht on 5 and 6 July. Interested parties must register and will then be welcomed, accompanied and provided with a snack and a drink on the days mentioned.

For sale in the Netherlands?

It is not clear whether the Cybertruck can also be experienced while driving. The car has not yet been approved for European roads, partly because the hardened steel car may not meet the safety requirements. The sharp points and a lack of crumple zone are bad news for pedestrians and other road users. The Cybertruck is very safe for its occupants, but in Europe we also think about the rest.

Perhaps Tesla has found a way to market the Cybertruck here after all. The company probably doesn’t do a tour just for fun, at the end of the day a car salesman just has to sell cars. With a price starting at just under 60,000 dollars, the car is not cheap, and in the Netherlands the dollar price is often a bit higher. Hopefully the teething problems such as stuck pedals have been resolved…
