The day starts with dense fog in the northern provinces. The temperature rises to 20 degrees in the afternoon. But then heavy showers will occur in the south. These may cause nuisance.
The KNMI warns of local fog in the northeast of the country. Code yellow applies until Monday 8 a.m. in Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel. The weather institute reports that the fog can cause disruption on the road and that visibility can be less than 200 meters in places.
Then the sun breaks through almost everywhere and the temperature quickly rises to around 20 degrees, reports Weerplaza.
In the southern half of the country, a lot of precipitation can fall in a short period of time in the late afternoon and evening. This can lead to flooding. It remains dry in the center and north of the country.
