The late summer will be over on Saturday, Weerplaza reports. After a few nice days it gets very wet and cool.
A spur of a high pressure area has ensured calm and pleasant late summer weather, the weather bureau writes. But the high pressure area is moving to the east fairly quickly and therefore the disturbances from the Atlantic Ocean are coming this way.
That makes for a cloudy Friday. And in the course of the evening it will rain in more and more places.
During those showers it will be a maximum of 15 degrees. At the eastern border of the country it can still reach 18 degrees during dry periods.
Lots of rain on Saturday
On Saturday it is finished with the pleasant sun. The rain area is moving so painfully slowly over the Netherlands that it will rain all day in most places. In the evening it will gradually become drier. The big question is whether the sun will shine again.
The lack of strong wind plays a major role. As a result, the clouds move so slowly that very concentrated rain can fall in many places. Possibly more than 20 millimeters, Weerplaza expects.
On Saturday it will be chilly with 13 degrees. With occasional peaks to 16 degrees. It will be almost windless.
The sun will show itself again on Sunday
Sunday lives up to its name, because then the sun shows itself again. Saturday’s rainy area will be out of the country and the day will start sunny early in the north and center of the country.
In the south everyone has to be patient for a while. After a single rain shower, the rain clouds will also disappear there.
In most places it will remain dry and the sun will shine quite a bit. Cumulus clouds do form during the day. On the coast, a cloud can eventually grow into a cloud with some raindrops.
At 16 degrees it will be cool for the end of September, but it will feel a lot more pleasant than Saturday.
