Dead man found on the Singel in Amsterdam, perpetrator presumably covered in blood | Inland

The body was found at the beginning of the canal around 03:30 am. A passer-by alerted the police because he saw a person covered in blood. When the emergency services arrived, they started CPR. However, this was to no avail. Letting a hotel guest know that she heard a bang around midnight.

The police conclude that the man was killed between 2.15 am and 3.30 am. The police also believe that the perpetrator himself was covered in blood, given the injuries of the victim.

A white tent was set up where there appears to be a stairway leading to a door below. A boat was also deployed to see if any items were thrown into the water that could be linked to the crime.
