Feyenoord has strengthened itself for next season with Vitesse revelation Anis Hadj-Moussa. The 22-year-old attacker signs a contract in De Kuip until the summer of 2029.

Vitesse has been renting Hadj-Moussa from the Belgian Patro Eisden since the beginning of this calendar year. The Algerian makes a surprisingly good impression at the ailing Arnhem club. He recorded one goal and two assists in nine league matches.

Hadj-Moussa went through the youth academy of RC Lens and moved to the Belgian Olympic Club Charleroi in 2022, where he played 33 matches. In 2023, Hadj-Moussa left for Patro Eisden, which rented him out to Vitesse after sixteen matches.

His good play in Arnhem led Hadj-Moussa to his debut as an international player in Algeria in March, where he is a teammate of Feyenoord player Ramiz Zerrouki. The counter now stands at three international matches. Ajax and PSV were also reportedly interested in him.

It is not known how much Feyenoord will pay for Hadj-Moussa. It is clear that he earns Patro Eisden, which plays at the second Belgian level, a record amount. “A historic moment,” reports Patro Eisden, who never received more than 275,000 euros for a player.

Feyenoord has made its first summer signing with Hadj-Moussa. It was previously reported by several media that FC Twente defender Gijs Smal will leave for De Kuip next summer, but the club has not yet confirmed this.
