Informants see increased confidence
Van Zwol expects the necessary “discussions” between the negotiating parties in the last week. This involves partly “exchanging” and “searching for coherence” in the agreement.
According to Dijkgraaf, trust between negotiators has grown in recent weeks. “Without saying that it is all 100 percent. But you do notice that they understand each other better how they are involved in the whole story.”
A prime ministerial candidate has not yet been discussed at the negotiating table. An outline agreement must be reached by May 15. A cabinet must then be formed that will develop the main agreement into a government program.
