The Zeeland Safety Region has set up Grip 2 to ensure that all emergency services on site run smoothly. The fire brigade and five ambulances have been deployed. The city center has been particularly affected, but there is also a lot of damage in the neighborhoods around it. Not all streets have been secured yet.

Simone Vente-van Veldhuyzen lives on the other side of Zierikzee, in the Poortkade, and just stepped into the backyard, glad she had kept it dry.
