The relatively cold spring weather of the past two weeks seems to be over. It will be quite warm next week with over 20 degrees on Tuesday. On Wednesday afternoon we can even expect temperatures of around 23 degrees. But there is also a downside. There is a chance of a heavy thunderstorm on Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening.
Anyone who thought they could enjoy the beautiful spring weather last week came home from a rude awakening. The afternoon temperature was often around 10 degrees last week and there was even frost on the ground during the nights.
It will be much warmer in the coming days. The maximum temperature will be 18 degrees on Monday, 21 degrees on Tuesday and 23 degrees on Wednesday. It will also not cool down as much during the night. From Tuesday, the mercury will no longer fall below 10 degrees at night in most places.
Sun and thunderstorms
Monday will be a sunny day. Between 12:00 and 15:00 the sun’s power reaches UV Index 4 and this means that you can burn without sunscreen in 30-60 minutes. Gradually some clouds move over the land, but the sun continues to shine through.
The sun can also be seen in the following days, but there are more clouds. During the day, large cumulus clouds develop that can develop into thunderstorms. The heaviest showers are currently expected on Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening.
Dry Liberation Day
The chance of showers is still relatively high on Thursday and Friday. A heavy thunderstorm is possible, especially on Thursday. After that, the chance of mainly dry and fairly sunny weather increases. However, there is also a chance of persistent changeable weather with occasional sunshine. A dry Liberation Day is currently forecast with 18 degrees.
