The missing car of Rien Mertens from Rosmalen has been found. This is reported by RTV Utrecht. A reporter from this regional broadcaster found the car in a parking garage.

The owner, 70-year-old Rien Mertens, had parked his white Nissan south of the center of Utrecht on April 18, but he could not find his car afterwards. “Great! I can hardly believe it is still there anywhere!”, exclaimed Rien’s son Evan when he was told that the car had been found.

Rien’s family has been looking for the car for a week and a half and she received extra support on Sunday and Monday after receiving attention from RTV Utrecht and Omroep Brabant. Many people on social media were concerned about the missing car. Son Evan received a lot of tips. “Wow, where is he?” he said when the reporter called him with the good news.

When he heard the location he just said, “It could be that simple.” And then joy followed: “Great! I can hardly believe it’s still there anywhere!”. On Facebook, Evan says that ‘everyone is thanked very much for all the attention and the search.’

The family will pick up the car as soon as possible. And then something appears on the bus so she can always find it. The parking costs per day in the parking garage in the city where the car was found are 18 euros. The counter has now risen to approximately 190 euros.
