There is also a lack of support for listening to music through local libraries; users can only listen to commercial music services such as Spotify.

This is not entirely correct, @TijsZonderH… It is possible to listen more or less to your own library.

However, the function to update your own library is missing, so if you add new music you need the old app (or the desktop app) to have Sonos do a scan.

In addition, I run into the issue that the app refuses to play something from its own library if the album name contains a colon or forward slash. That is not unusual in classical music, and that is precisely what the lion’s share of my library consists of. He seemed to play certain albums to me, but instead of the album he played the (alphabetically) next album.

All in all a really bad update. Extra painful because you cannot go back to a previous version of an app on iOS/iPadOS. It takes courage indeed to dare to release an app of which you know in advance that essential features are missing and other features are half-baked. I find it annoying enough that I can no longer play half my library, but I read that there are people who cannot turn off the alarm because the app does not support it. If you’re going to remove such a feature, why not at least give users the chance to remove the alarm from your Sonos?
