Large fire next to hotel in Sloterdijk

A large fire has broken out at a hotel on Molenwerf in Sloterdijk. The fire brigade is on site with a lot of equipment. The fire started outside the hotel. but has been spilled over onto a small outbuilding.

Images show that a lot of smoke has developed as a result of the fire. The fire brigade advises local residents to close windows, doors and ventilation.

The building where the fire is raging is a former gymnasium that is now used as a rehearsal space by the band Nits. Because it was difficult for the fire service to get to the fire for a long time, the emergency services decided to let the fire flare up in a controlled manner.
