Crying children and angry parents after a sinking boat in Sinterklaas news: ‘Just like the Titanic’

The Sinterklaas news has only just started when it is already causing a riot on social media. Thursday’s episode led to crying children and therefore sleepless nights for parents when the parcel boat sank in ‘Titanic-esque’ way.

Next Saturday, Sinterklaas will set foot in Hellevoetsluis, which, as usual, causes a lot of tension among young children. However, the stress reached a peak on Thursday evening when the Sinterklaas news showed that the parcel boat was so leaky that it sank. “And thanks NPO3, gone evening. Child totally upset. This is going to be late!” a parent said on Twitter.
